REMEMBER A CHARITY
Reasons to Remember a Charity
In 2011/12 a total of £9.3 billion* was donated to the 180,000 charities which make up the sector in the UK. This is a substantial decrease of £1.7billion, compared to the previous year.
Despite this, it is evident that as a nation, we continue to provide an incredible level of financial support for charity, without which many charities couldn’t survive.
People choose to support such charities for various reasons: for some, it’s their compassion towards animals which makes it impossible to ignore those which are suffering or neglected and in need of help. Habitats destroyed; the impact on life and the environment. Natural disasters or conflict which ruins homes and lives, both in our own nation and in regions across the globe. Kindness towards others less fortunate, ethical grounds. The moral regard that it’s simply the right thing to do, if you’re in a financial position to be able to do so.
Whatever your reasons for remembering a charity and offering your support, it’s often only because of that support that many charities are able to continue the important and often essential work that they do.
Charities usually get very little, or no help at all, from the UK Government and they rely heavily or even entirely on the generosity of the general public and businesses to enable them to continue with their service, support or research.
...every charity values and appreciates your support and sacrifice, whether it’s financial, or by giving up your time.

On behalf of the charities you may choose to help, thank you for making that difference.
