Despite many afflictions which affect our society, the UK has finally began to embrace the necessity in providing physically disabled people with the ability to live independent lives. It’s about practicality, emotion and ethics.
The changes include better access to shops and offices and the opportunity to work without the restrictions which once prevented such possibilities. It’s imperative that having a physical disability does not exclude you socially and whilst some things may still not be possible, that a dignified life can be led.
The charities which follow offer practical and emotional support and expert advice, including respite care and holidays; and for family and carers too.
