Physical Abuse

Unacceptable in society and yet it’s an unfortunate fact that it goes on every day. And often from someone we love or care about. A partner; a parent. This can make it even harder to ask for help, to talk about the pain and distress. It reaches beyond the obvious physical effects and changes emotions and challenges mental state.

It can be difficult to know where to ask for help; who to turn to and who to seek refuge with.

The following charities aim to stop violence and physical abuse. Provide a safe place and help to rebuild lives. If you decide to support these organisations through a donation or by leaving a gift in your Will, you can help to make a difference to the men, women and children who are affected each and every day from such inconceivable suffering.

We think sometimes that poverty is only being hungry, naked and homeless. The poverty of being unwanted, unloved and uncared for is the greatest poverty. We must start in our own homes to remedy this kind of poverty.
